El Charro in Fort Scott

Don't know why people gripe about the age of a waiter or saying they don't speak English....Been going there for years and the service is always fine and the food is great

Adjusted well to COVID recently. Chips with to go order. Good service. Good food. Fast enough

Wasn't what we was expecting, it was all American Mexican food and not authentic like we are use to

Even though we arrived at lunch we still did not have a long wait. Our server was friendly, courteous, and tentative to our needs. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. I was also pleased to find their restrooms in good repair and condition.

I have eaten at several El Charro's in the region, but this one is by far the best! The atmosphere was clean and updated, the service was exceptional and the food was very good. When my family and I stop in Ft. Scott, we tend to stop at this restaurant.

I used to live in Fort Scott and El Charro was my favorite restaurant. I was there visiting and just had to stop in. The food is still delicious! Still my favorite!

It was ok but I doubt I'll be back. There's better Mexican food in town for the same price

Hi, live in Ft Scott and have been to El Charro dozens of times. Their are many items I especially enjoy. Including Pescado Mexicano, Steak Feliz, any of the fajita combinations I've tried. The other reviewers are correct about the tortilla chips and salsa. I will say anything with ground beef is subpar, but I still think their tacos are better than Taco Bell or La Hacienda, the 2 other "Mexican" restaurants in town. Over all I believe El Charro's Ft Scott is the best Mexican restaurant in a 30 mile radius.

Very friendly and comfortable Mexican restaurant. The menu has a very good selection of items and the prices are reasonable. I've tried several different dishes and they have all been good with generous portions. The staff is quite friendly and knowledgeable about the menu selections.Plenty of free parking with handicap accessible parking, entrances and restrooms.

Amazing food! I have been going to el charro since i was born! The staff quality sometimes isnt as great as it used to be but the food is SOOO GOOD!!! Reasonably priced and big portions!! Great place for a date or to take your family for dinner.

No refills, No check, No server present when you need, Wrong order was given on the table. It wad bad customer service. Ceiling has holes, dirty floors, dust on the sides. It was awful.

Took my mom, dad, sister and myself out to dinner, food was great! Sitting Down in a booth and a rusty nail gouging my calf and ripping my American stitch skinny pants! They knocked 10$ off 60$ bill... thanks for 10$

Usually pretty good and on my favorites list. Today was very poor. Had to ask for everything from a menu to the ticket. Good thing the drinks are big or we wouldve died of thirst. Didn't know they changed to BYOD.

They have very good specials. For a small town it is a decent place to curb the Mexican food craving.

Three service and food were extraordinary!! I have never regretted coming to El Charro cause everything is always top notch! Thank you for the amazing food!!

I ordered fajitas for two (or double order; I can't quite remember what it was called on the menu). The portion was enormous. They tasted great. We were in a party of about 20. Our food came very quickly... like less than 15 minutes. I know Mexican food service is usually pretty quick anyway, but never expected it for a party that big. Other guests in our party were satisfied too.

Their cheesy rice is amazing! However I’m disappointed that they use shredded cheese in their quesadillas and on other entrees. Service was excellent and food was out quickly. But no more shredded cheese!!

Great place to eat or have a really good margarita. Their chips, salsa, queso & guacamole are delicious! I always order the fajita quesadilla with chicken, beef & shrimp or El Charro fajitas with extra tortillas.....so good!!! People are friendly & take good care of you. If it's your birthday they will even sing to you & give you a surprise.

They have a fairly large menu and the food is normally good without a long wait and always leave full,we normally eat there once a month and the food is consistent with each visit.

Terrible service and extremely rude server. We almost walked out. They didnt want to fix our that came to the table looking like a dog food dish. Very bad ! That server is bad for business!!!

Great food and service, well worth the stop!

Generally great service. The chips are always warm and salsa is wonderful. Be sure to get the cup or bowl of queso as well. Be sure to specify if ordering enchiladas or you will get beef. The rice is light and fluffy. The fried ice cream and friex cheesecake are perfect desserts.
